Cyber Fraudsters Target PM-KISAN Beneficiaries Using Fake Apps and Links in Himachal

Shimla, July 18 : Cyber criminals are tricking PM-KISAN scheme beneficiaries by circulating fake mobile apps and websites that mimic official platforms. Farmers are being lured through calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and emails containing malicious links, which, once clicked, allow access to their personal and banking data. Fraudsters then extract OTPs and Aadhaar details to siphon money directly from their accounts. Cyber police have issued warnings and urged beneficiaries not to click suspicious links or share sensitive information. Official information should only be obtained through the scheme’s legitimate website or local agricultural officers.
