Cultural Triumph: Nagpur Artisans Shine, Felicitated by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister
2 min readA delegation of accomplished artists, representing participants who returned from the All India Civil Services Cultural Competition in Nagpur, presented themselves before the esteemed Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu, under the guidance of Shri Rajesh Bharadwaj, President of the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Recreation and Cultural Club.
This exceptional group, showcasing their prowess, bestowed the Chief Minister with six medals, including a gold, four silver, and one bronze, earned in the competition. Alongside this display of artistic excellence, a formal letter of request was submitted to the Chief Minister.
Congratulating all the artists, Chief Minister Sukhhu highlighted their historic achievements on the national stage in cultural events. In recognition of these triumphs, he directed relevant departments to provide special encouragement and facilities to the club and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Additionally, he issued orders to offer complimentary air travel to all club participants at the national level cultural programs. Special financial benefits were promised during the upcoming cabinet meeting for their achievements.
Furthermore, the delegation had the privilege of meeting the Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh, who expressed appreciation for their outstanding performances. Assuring unwavering support, the Chief Secretary affirmed that the department, club, and cultural affairs associated with the Secretariat will consistently provide assistance to employees engaged in art and culture.
In this celebratory meeting, the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary acknowledged the remarkable achievements of all participants, assuring equitable and substantial support for their contributions to art and culture. The occasion concluded with a promise to uphold the cultural richness of Himachal Pradesh and its dedicated artisans.
