Cultural and Storytelling Programs for School Students at Shimla’s Gaiety Theatre

Shimla, Sept. 01 – The Department of Language and Culture, Himachal Pradesh, in collaboration with the Gaiety Dramatic Society, is organizing cultural and literary programs for local school students from September 3, 2025.

At 2:30 PM, the open-air MF Theatre at Gaiety Theatre, The Mall, Shimla, will host a musical band performance by students of Auckland House School. Simultaneously, at Bantony Castle, students from Government Adarsh Kanya Senior Secondary School, Portmore, will present musical band performances, along with folk songs and traditional dances.

In addition, a storytelling session will be conducted in the Gaiety Theatre Conference Hall at 2:30 PM. Senior writer Srinivas Joshi will provide insights into the art of storytelling, guiding students on literary techniques and narrative forms.

These programs aim to promote cultural awareness, creative expression, and literary engagement among students, fostering a deeper appreciation for the arts and heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
