Cryptocurrency Scam Unearthed in Bilaspur District, Investors Defrauded of Millions

In a disturbing turn of events, several cases of fraud involving cryptocurrency have come to light in the Bilaspur region. The Bilaspur police station has registered complaints against five individuals, accusing them of swindling approximately 10 crore rupees. The latest case involves Jogindernagar resident Joginder Thakur, who has alleged that he was defrauded of 83.40 lakhs under the pretext of investing in cryptocurrency. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
According to the complainant, Joginder Thakur, he had given a substantial amount, both in cash and through bank transactions, to Deepak Kumar Jindal, a resident of Jeerkapur, in the name of cryptocurrency investments. It was promised that the invested amount would double within nine to sixteen months, but this promise was not fulfilled. Now, the accused is refusing to return the invested funds.
Moreover, following the revelation of cryptocurrency scams, some individuals who were seen flaunting luxury vehicles are now facing scrutiny. While they are desperate to recover their initial investments, they are also sharing updates among themselves regarding this entire situation.
Sources reveal that Bilaspur district has witnessed a rise in cases of cryptocurrency fraud, with victims losing substantial amounts. However, many victims are reluctant to come forward and report the crimes. It is worth noting that cryptocurrency scams have affected numerous individuals across the state, leading to a growing number of complaints. Cases are now being registered with the Bilaspur police station and investigations are underway.
Balh Police Station in charge, Purushottam Dheeman, confirmed that cases related to financial fraud are being registered and investigated. Complaints from victims continue to pour in.
