1 min readShimla, December 19, 2024 – The Communist Party of India (Marxist) Himachal Pradesh State Committee has criticized the state government’s decision to recruit guest lecturers in schools and colleges, citing over 12,000 vacant posts. The party claims this policy will degrade education quality and exploit educated youth, urging the government to prioritize permanent recruitment.
The CPI(M) also demanded the withdrawal of “The Himachal Pradesh Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Government Employees Bill, 2024,” citing Supreme Court judgments on seniority and contract-based services. Highlighting the significant shortfall in government employees compared to population growth, the party emphasized the urgent need for adequate staffing in education and healthcare.
CPI(M) urged the government to abandon temporary hiring practices and implement long-term solutions to support unemployed youth and improve public services.
