Court Extends Anticipatory Bail of Churah MLA Hansraj Till November 27

The District and Sessions Court in Chamba on Saturday extended the anticipatory bail of Churah MLA Hansraj till 27 November, in a case registered under the POCSO Act based on allegations made by a young woman.
Earlier, the court had granted anticipatory bail to the MLA till 22 November. On Saturday, lawyers from both sides presented their arguments before the court. After reserving its order in the morning, the court announced in the evening that the interim protection would be extended until the next hearing.
The case relates to allegations of sexual exploitation, with the complainant claiming that she was a minor at the time of the alleged incident. Police investigations are ongoing.
