Counseling for 31 Posts of Shastri Teachers to Begin on January 10

Solna, January 4: The Department of Elementary Education, Solan District, is set to conduct counseling for the recruitment of Shastri teachers on 31 posts batch-wise based on contractual basis on January 10, 2024. The counseling will commence at 11:00 am in the office of the Deputy Director of Elementary Education, Solan. This information was provided by Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy Director of Elementary Education, Solan.
Sanjeev Kumar stated that the counseling for these positions was initially scheduled for November 17, 2023, but was postponed according to the directions of the Primary Education Himachal Pradesh. Candidates who participated in the counseling on November 17, 2023, are not required to participate again. Only those candidates who have not yet participated in counseling are eligible to attend the counseling scheduled for January 10, 2024.
He mentioned that out of the 31 Shastri positions, 12 are for the General category, 7 for Scheduled Caste, 1 for Scheduled Tribe, 4 for Other Backward Class, 4 for Economically Weaker Section, 1 for Scheduled Caste (BPL), 1 for Other Backward Class (BPL), and 1 for Scheduled Tribe (BPL). The final merit list will be prepared based on the batch of B.Ed. on the directorate level.
Sanjeev Kumar emphasized that selected candidates will be allocated districts based on their choice and priority given during counseling. Candidates are required to be present for counseling in their home district, and all priorities for the 12 districts must be given in the home district. The candidate’s home district will be considered valid based on the Himachali certificate presented.
He also clarified that only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria as per the recruitment and promotion rules and notifications issued by the National Council for Teacher Education will be able to participate in the selection process.
