Contractor and Associate Attacked in Broad Daylight in Baddi Industrial Area

Baddi | January 31, 2026: Panic gripped the Baddi industrial region of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday afternoon after unidentified assailants launched a violent attack on contractor Raj Mohammad Khan and his associate Rafiq.

According to police, the incident occurred around 2 pm when the victims were offering prayers on a rooftop. Three attackers reportedly arrived armed with sticks and brutally assaulted both men, leaving Raj Khan seriously injured and Rafiq with head wounds while trying to intervene. Before fleeing, the attackers also fired shots in the air to spread fear in the area.

The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment, after which the matter was reported to the police. The local police team reached the spot promptly and has begun an investigation. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the attackers.

The incident has created an atmosphere of fear among residents and workers in the industrial belt.
