Dubai, 1 September 2025 – Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur, speaking as Chief Guest at an event organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Dubai, highlighted the critical role of consulting firms in India’s Vision 2047. Addressing the topic “Audit and the Future of Global Consulting,” Thakur emphasized that consulting firms must prepare to support India’s ambitious global initiatives.

Thakur noted India’s remarkable economic growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, rising from 11th to the world’s fourth-largest economy, and stressed the role of emerging consulting companies in this progress. He highlighted India’s strategic position in the “Development Triangle” of India, the Middle East, and Africa, and cited India-UAE CEPA and India-Africa trade surpassing \$100 billion as evidence of growing global partnerships.

Speaking on policy reforms, Thakur said initiatives like Startup India and Atmanirbhar Bharat have strengthened innovation ecosystems and promoted self-reliance in manufacturing and services. He added that consulting professionals are uniquely positioned to guide enterprises on global market access, ESG reporting, taxation, and digital compliance. Thakur concluded that trust remains the true capital of consulting, making consulting firms indispensable to India’s Vision 2047.
