Congress’ Sins Redeemed by Modi Through Triple Talaq Amendment: Jitendra Singh

Shimla, January 17:
Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh, addressing a press conference, criticized the Congress for its history of appeasement politics and undermining the Constitution for vote-bank gains. He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for enacting reforms like the Triple Talaq Amendment, which he termed as a step to rectify Congress’ “sins” and bring justice to oppressed women.
Singh highlighted how Congress failed to introduce reforms like 33% women’s reservation in legislatures, citing its nepotistic approach. He accused Congress of prioritizing family interests over national welfare, claiming it couldn’t look beyond the “son, daughter, and son-in-law.”
Mocking Congress, Singh said Rahul Gandhi is ready for the Bharat Ratna, but the public isn’t ready to give him a chance. In contrast, he credited the Modi government for honoring figures like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and reviving their legacies through initiatives such as the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre and memorials at significant sites related to his life.
The BJP has launched a nationwide campaign, “Constitution Festival,” to raise awareness about preserving constitutional values. Singh urged citizens to compare Congress’ 88 misuses of Article 356 with the BJP’s initiatives aimed at empowering the common man.
