Congress Should Clarify Why Ambedkar’s Resignation Was Hidden from the Public: Pyar Singh
2 min readShimla: The BJP Sanjauli Mandal, under the leadership of Mandal President Sanjeev Chauhan, organized a Constitution Gaurav Abhiyan. The chief speaker of the event was the state’s media in-charge Pyar Singh Kanwar. Alongside him were BJP’s former president and former minister Suresh Bhardwaj, vice president Sanjeev Katwal, treasurer Kamaljeet Sood, media in-charge Karn Nanda, candidate Sanjay Sood, district president Keshav Chauhan, and Kisan Morcha president Sanjeev Drishta.
Pyar Singh Kanwar addressed the gathering, criticizing Congress for always disrespecting Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, mocking him, and embarrassing him. He pointed out the hypocrisy of the Congress party, which now pretends to seek rights in the name of Babasaheb. Kanwar demanded that Congress apologize unconditionally for the disrespect shown by its leaders, including Jawaharlal Nehru, toward Babasaheb. He recalled that when any individual resigns from the council, they are allowed to speak in the house. However, after Babasaheb’s resignation, he was denied the opportunity to speak. In his resignation, Babasaheb had written about his dissatisfaction, mentioning how he was deprived of key portfolios despite being well-educated in finance and industry. He also expressed his frustration over the government’s focus on Muslim concerns while neglecting the SC/ST communities.
Kanwar questioned why Congress hid Babasaheb’s resignation from the public. He suggested that had the resignation been made public, it might have tarnished the image of Pandit Nehru.
Suresh Bhardwaj spoke on the occasion of Parakram Diwas, which marks the 128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He honored Netaji’s immense contribution to the Indian freedom struggle and his indomitable spirit that continues to inspire the youth. Parakram Diwas serves as a reminder not only of his sacrifices but also as a call to action, urging the nation to adopt his principles of courage, loyalty, and leadership to build a prosperous and self-reliant India.
