Congress Ministers Making Baseless Claims, Blaming BJP to Save Their Seats: Jairam
1 min read12 September 2024, Shimla: In a statement issued from Shimla, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur dismissed the allegations made by Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh as baseless. Thakur accused Congress ministers of spreading falsehoods to shift blame onto the BJP and protect their own positions amidst pressure from the Delhi high command.
Thakur claimed that Singh’s statements, which came under the scrutiny of Congress leadership, were part of a damage control strategy orchestrated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. He accused the Congress of using misleading tactics to cover up their failures and criticized the government’s handling of the Sanjauli mosque issue, which he said has further angered the public.
Thakur condemned the government’s use of force against protesters, labeling the response as highly disappointing and a disregard for public sentiment. He emphasized that the Congress’s attempts to blame the BJP and spread false information will not work, as the true nature of the Congress party and the Sukhu government has been exposed to the people of Himachal Pradesh.
