Shimla, Feb 12: Former BJP president and MP Suresh Kashyap has stated that the Congress party is in complete turmoil, with internal conflicts reaching their peak. He claimed that senior Congress leaders in Himachal Pradesh are insecure within their own party, with some losing faith in its leadership.

Kashyap highlighted recent remarks by state Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar, who admitted that the Congress organization in Himachal was paralyzed due to the dissolution of its units three months ago. Despite repeated demands, no restructuring has taken place at the block, district, or state levels, leaving the party and government directionless.

He also pointed out Congress’ poor performance in Delhi Assembly elections, where the party has failed to win a single seat in three consecutive polls. Kashyap mocked Congress for scoring “three consecutive ducks” in Delhi, suggesting that the party is in decline.

Regarding leadership struggles, Kashyap cited the recent resignation drama of Vikramaditya Singh, son of former CM Virbhadra Singh. Singh announced his resignation but withdrew it within hours, exposing internal rifts.

Kashyap further claimed that Congress MLAs are unhappy with CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s leadership but hesitate to express their discontent openly. He referred to the recent Rajya Sabha elections, where six Congress MLAs defied the party line and voted for BJP’s Harsh Mahajan, leading to a major setback for Congress. Eventually, these six MLAs, along with three independents, joined BJP, further weakening the ruling party.
