Shimla: Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur condemned the Sukhu government for raising electricity rates after promising 300 units of free power. He accused the government of failing to honor its election commitments, thereby betraying the public. Thakur pointed out that Congress ended the previous 125 units of free electricity and is now imposing charges on consumers exceeding 300 units.
He called on Congress to clarify its promises and questioned their commitment to the public. Thakur also noted that similar deceit tactics are being employed in Haryana, highlighting a pattern of false promises that the public no longer trusts.
