Bhopal for Ladli Sisters, Rajasthan for Lost Sisters
False Promises, False Commitments, No Good Intentions from Congress
November 5, 2023, New Delhi: Anurag Singh Thakur, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sports, conducted a press conference in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, today. He addressed the importance of voting in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh legislative assembly elections and also spoke to the youth at a new voter meeting in Damoh, highlighting the significance of their votes and shedding light on the extensive work carried out by the BJP government.
Shri Anurag Thakur stated, “The Congress party is dishonest, and its guarantees are also false. Congress has failed, and its guarantees have failed. In Himachal, out of seven guarantees, not a single one has been fulfilled. The promised 1,500 rupees for girls’ accounts and 100 rupees per liter of milk have not been delivered yet. With elections approaching in Madhya Pradesh, Congress is now offering new promises. Promised loan waivers for farmers have not been fully implemented, and jobs have not been provided to the youth. The public is wise and will not fall for Congress’s gimmicks.”
“Rahul Gandhi’s Guarantee Unfulfilled” – Shri Thakur mentioned that in Kamal Nath’s government, not a single guarantee was fulfilled during the 15-month rule. Rahul Gandhi had promised that all farmers’ loans would be waived off in Madhya Pradesh, but the guarantee of 2 lakh rupees of debt relief was not fulfilled. The promise of providing unemployment allowances also failed. The Congress government even failed to deliver on the 51,000 rupees for the Kanyadan Yojana.
“Working with Youth Under BJP Government” – Shri Thakur highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh to provide employment opportunities to the youth. Programs like “Learn and Earn” have significantly benefited young people. These actions reflect the BJP government’s commitment to empowering youth to contribute to the state’s development. Under Congress rule, Madhya Pradesh was a sick state, but now, under the BJP, it has become a model state.
“Five Years of Free Ration for 80 Crore People” – Shri Thakur also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to providing five years of free rations for more than 80 crore people. This will benefit the people of Madhya Pradesh, as will initiatives like Ujjwala Yojana and direct money transfers to farmers’ bank accounts.
“Honor for Women in MP, Disrespect in Rajasthan” – Shri Thakur highlighted the empowerment of women in Madhya Pradesh through schemes like Ladli Bahna Yojana and Ladli Lakshmi Yojana. In contrast, in Rajasthan, the Congress government has witnessed a rise in crimes against women. More than 2 lakh criminal cases against women have been registered during Congress’s rule. He emphasized that schemes like Ladli Bahna Yojana and Ladli Lakshmi Yojana are making women in Madhya Pradesh financially strong.
“Corruption in Chhattisgarh, Betrayal” – Shri Thakur stated that the prevalent slogan in Chhattisgarh is “Do corruption, rule,” as the Congress-led government is embroiled in various scams. He pointed out the Gober, Gothan, and Sharab scams, which have exposed Congress’s corrupt practices. Chhattisgarh has seen a surge in corruption during Congress’s rule. The public is well aware that Congress guarantees nothing but corruption and fraud.
“Congress’s 7 Guarantees Fail” – Shri Thakur mentioned that Congress’s seven guarantees in Himachal Pradesh have also failed. Promises like 1500 rupees for women each month, 1 lakh jobs, 2-rupee per kilo dung, and buying milk from farmers at 100 rupees per liter have not been fulfilled. The 300-unit free electricity guarantee also remains incomplete, and the 680 crore startup fund guarantee was only partly realized. Mobile clinics were promised to provide free treatment in every village, but people are still seeking treatment elsewhere. There was a promise to allow farmers to set their fruit prices, but Congress has paid no attention to these guarantees. Shri Thakur asserted that with false promises, false commitments, and no good intentions, people should not rely on Congress in the elections and should continue the path of development opened by BJP candidates.
