Congress Government Builds Self-Reliant Himachal in Two Years: Rajeev Rana
1 min read
Rajeev Rana, Chairman of the Congress-affiliated KKC, highlighted the achievements of the Congress government during a press briefing on its two-year tenure. He attributed the success to the leadership of the state government and the dedication of party workers. Rana emphasized public support for the Sukhu government, demonstrated by the gathering at Bilaspur’s Luhnu Stadium.
Responding to BJP MP Anurag Thakur’s criticism, Rana called his statements baseless and politically motivated, claiming that Thakur is struggling to maintain his political relevance. Rana accused the BJP of leaving Himachal in debt and mismanaging public welfare during its tenure, including COVID-19 missteps and corruption scandals.
He listed the Sukhu government’s initiatives, such as implementing OPS for employees, supporting orphans through the State Children status, reviving worker welfare schemes, introducing e-taxi services for youth employment, and becoming the first state to offer MSP on milk for farmers. Rana also praised efforts to promote solar projects, electric vehicles, tourism, and education, framing these as steps toward a self-reliant Himachal.
He urged Thakur to witness the transformation of Hamirpur, citing the development achieved in two years after BJP’s alleged neglect.
