Congress Demands JPC Probe on Adani Allegations

Shimla, November 22, 2024: Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh called for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into allegations of bribery involving Gautam Adani. She referred to reports of a U.S. arrest warrant against Adani over ₹2,236 crore in alleged bribes to secure solar energy contracts, describing it as a serious matter.

Singh accused the BJP-led government and investigative agencies of ignoring previous demands to probe Adani’s alleged securities fraud and manipulation of the stock market. She endorsed Rahul Gandhi’s call to remove SEBI Chief Madhabi Puri Buch and arrest Adani immediately, stressing that the truth must come to light.
