March 17, 2025 | Himachal Pradesh:
Former Union Minister and MP from Hamirpur, Anurag Singh Thakur, slammed the Congress government’s budget, calling it a “directionless and hollow bundle of promises.” He accused the Chief Minister of merely fulfilling a formality in the name of presenting the budget and questioned how the government plans to fulfill these announcements after declaring an economic emergency in the state.

Anurag Thakur stated, “Today, the Congress government has once again deceived the people of Himachal in the name of the budget. This budget is completely directionless and full of empty promises. After imposing an economic emergency in the state, the Chief Minister is now just completing the formality of presenting the budget. The Congress government has left Himachal entirely dependent on the central government and is running away from its responsibilities. The CM must clarify how he plans to arrange funds for the announcements made in this budget.”

He further criticized the Chief Minister for not addressing the pending DA installments of employees, remaining silent on the 6th Pay Commission, and ignoring the demands of PD Multi-Task Workers, Veterinary Assistants, Chowkidars, and MDM Workers. Thakur questioned the Congress on how they plan to fulfill the false promises and guarantees made to the public before coming to power.
