Congress Accuses BJP of Politicizing Bilaspur Court Shooting Incident

Shimla, June 22 – State Congress Working President and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi has accused the BJP of exploiting law and order issues for political gains. Addressing the unfortunate shooting incident at the Bilaspur court complex, Awasthi emphasized that the perpetrators are being dealt with according to the law, and this incident should not be misconstrued as a breakdown of law and order. He assured that the police are conducting an impartial investigation and that the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.
Awasthi criticized the BJP’s protest in Bilaspur, calling it completely irresponsible and an attempt to politicize the incident. He targeted former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and other BJP leaders, urging them not to disrupt the state’s peaceful atmosphere. He stressed that no one is above the law and that the legal process should be allowed to proceed without interference.
Awasthi also urged the police administration to handle such incidents strictly to prevent any recurrence in the future.
