2 min read

Shimla, December 20: The Pradesh Congress President and Member of Parliament, Pratibha Singh, has leveled allegations against the central BJP government, claiming that it is attempting to stifle the opposition’s voice in the Parliament through calculated strategies. Singh criticized the decision to suspend opposition MPs from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, calling it an unfortunate act against democratic values. She affirmed that Congress, along with other opposition parties nationwide, will protest against the autocratic policies and decisions of the BJP government.

Singh issued a statement today, expressing concern over the suspension of opposition leaders from both houses of Parliament. She stated that avoiding questions from the opposition in the Parliament reflects the BJP’s reluctance to face tough queries. She argued that the suspension of duly elected MPs is not only an attack on democracy but also an insult to their constituents.

In response to the situation, the All India Congress Committee has called for nationwide protests against the authoritarian policies of the BJP government. Singh announced that the Congress party in the state would organize demonstrations in all districts on December 22 to condemn the undemocratic actions of the central government.

Pratibha Singh emphasized that Congress would respond forcefully to any misinformation spread by the BJP. She called upon all party leaders, office bearers, prominent organizations, and workers from various departments to actively participate in the protests against the BJP’s suppressive tactics.

The Congress leader concluded by stating that democracy and the people’s mandate would not be compromised, and the party would continue to uphold the principles of democracy in the face of autocratic measures by the ruling government.
