Cong to quash Agniveer recruitment policy if at Centre-Priyanka Gandhi

Nagrota Bagwan, Nov 4 – Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said the recruitment of Agniveer will stop when Congress comes to power at the Centre.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra arrived here to address a well-attended public meeting in support of Congress candidate R S Bali.

She said the Congress party is eager to waive off the loans of farmers. She added that wherever there is a Congress government, farmers’ loans have been waived.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has shown the track and former Transport G S Bali also helped the farmers in the right perspective. She said both these leaders helped the people of Himachal Pradesh.

She said Congress is campaigning and BJP is celebrating the rebels. She said amid applause she knew that the people of Himachal Pradesh want to change.

Priyanka said the BJP government has drowned Himachal Pradesh in debt of Rs.70000 crore and this burden has shaken the state.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi was addressing a Parivartan Pratigya rally at Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district Friday.

Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi paid obeisance at one of the 52 Shakti peeths at Jawalamukhi Friday.

This was the second public meeting of Priyanka Gandhi after the announcement of elections in Himachal.

Earlier on October 31, Priyanka had addressed a public meeting in Mandi. Before the announcement of the election, Priyanka had concocted the Parivartan Pratigya rally from Solan. After Nagrota, on November 7, Priyanka will also hold a public meeting in the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency the home district of Union Minister Anurag Thakur.

Today, in the rally of Nagrota Bagwan, Congress workers from 15 assembly constituencies of Kangra district reached. Earlier, Congress candidate from Dehra, Dr Rajesh Sharma addressed the crowd present from the stage for the rally of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at Nagrota Bagwan.

All Congress candidates in the fray from other assembly constituencies including Ajay Mahajan, Sudhir Sharma, Chànder Kumar, Mukesh Agnihotri, Ashish Butail, Surender Kaku, Sipiya , Sanjay Rattan and other candidates were present.
