Shimla, May 4 – The BJP defeat in Shimla MC poll is result of rigging of Election as alleged by a former councilor of party.
BJP former councilor Kiran Baba said party defeat is unexpected and it shows that Election was rigged by the ruling Congress . After her defeat from Boileauganj ward Kiran Baba said she couldn’t believe she lost as it raised serious questions on the fairness of poll.
She alleged that the election and results were rigged. She also accused of changing EVMs. She said she would knock the door of court to get justice.
Baba said they had served the public for the whole five years and during the campaign, she went amongst the people, she got immense affection from the public. In such a situation, the question does not arise that she could lose. Now only option left to her to file Election petition and knock the door of the court.
Notably, BJP is accusing Congress of misusing machinery and temper EVMs. A complaint was also filed before State election commission by the party that EVMs symbol was found changed in one wards from the allotted one.
