Cong demands inquiry into Adani episode

Hamirpur, Feb 6 – Congress party workers on Monday held a demonstration at the Gandhi chowk and outside the campus of the State Bank of India demanding an inquiry into the alleged scam of hundreds of thousands of crores of public funds by the Adani Group under the supervision of a Joint Parliamentary Committee or the Chief Justice of India.

Anshul Sharma, the media in-charge of the district Congress committee said on Monday that since the Modi government of the country was selling all the government properties one by one, and giving benefits to its loved ones by keeping all the rules and regulations in check, this protest was organised.

He said the District Congress Committee Hamirpur was against the demolition of financial institutions like SBI and LIC and against the Modi government at the Center in protest against Adani’s scam and suppressing the voice of the opposition in Parliament.

The Congress party said if the Modi government was allowed to remain in power, the nation would be doomed.
