Condolence meeting held at Shoolini University

Shoolini University held a condolence meeting at the open-air theater inside the campus on Thursday to mourn the passing away of India’s First Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 12 others on a helicopter crash.
Two minutes silence was also observed to pray for the peace of the departed souls.
Pro Chancellor Mr. Vishal Anand paid his tribute and read the message forwarded by Major General Atul Kaushik (retd), Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (HPPERC). Director Operations, Brigadier SD Mehta (retd) gave a brief introduction about the journey and life of General Rawat.
Addressing the condolence meet, Col. TPS Gill (retd) said that the contributions made by Gen Rawat can never be forgotten. He also read out the condolence message forwarded by Chancellor Professor PK Khosla.
A poem was read out as a tribute to the departed by Mr. Ankush Kanwar, Student cum faculty. Dean of Students Welfare, Mrs. Poonam Nanda and other faculty members along with students and university staff were present at the meeting.
