Computer Classes Conducted by UBA Team for Children from Rural Village
1 min readSolan, Feb 18 – Unnat Bharat Abhiyan JUIT Waknaghat organized a ‘Computer Literacy Program’ for children from rural villages near the Jaypee University of Information Technology on the weekends from 14th January to 5th February. This activity was conducted under the guidance of faculty coordinator Dr. Gopal SinghBisht, Mahila Pradhan Mrs. Leela Thakur and student coordinators Varun Chodha & Stuti Roy. The gram panchayat also helps in spreading awareness of this program.
The goal of this activity was to provide a foundational understanding of the internet and computer usage to the students, especially among those who are living in remote areas.The program was attended by overall 33 children, with an average age of 15 years. Children were basically from Richhana, Wakna, Dumehar and Chawsha villages. The UBA team prepared easy to understand lectures and delivered them wholeheartedly. The children learned with full enthusiasm & interacted in the class. A quiz was also taken to test the children and at the end & recently certificates were also provided to them.
This event went in a very organized manner & the syllabus was also designed in such a way that children understood the concepts & get benefit in future. The whole UBA team was grateful to have this opportunity and looking forward to having more such initiatives in near future.
