CM Sukhu’s Vision Opens Global Job Avenues for Himachali Youth: Sunil Sharma Bittu

Hamirpur, October 9, 2025 — Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Sunil Sharma Bittu said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Himachal’s youth now have access to safe and legal overseas employment opportunities. Speaking at the foreign recruitment drive organized jointly by HPSEDC and the Labour & Employment Department at the Government Polytechnic College, Badu, Sharma said this initiative marks a major step in the state’s employment expansion efforts.

He emphasized that the state government will help candidates secure jobs abroad through HPSEDC, ensuring compliance with all international laws and protecting them from fraudulent agents. Around 250 youth from various districts participated in the drive, and selected candidates were handed their appointment letters for overseas employment.

Sharma also highlighted the Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Start-Up Scheme, under which the government provides 50% subsidy on electric vehicles to promote self-employment. He urged students to focus on skill development and innovation, exploring opportunities in emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence.
