CM Sukhu opens experience centre in emerging technologies at Shoolini Univ

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, inaugurated an Experience Centre in Emerging Technologies, with cutting edge technology, in Shoolini University campus on Monday.
Supported by iHUB DivyaSampark and the Technology Innovation Hub, a collaborative effort by the Department of Science and Technology and IIT Roorkee under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS), the cutting-edge facility promises to be a catalyst for transformative advancements in Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT), and Drone technology.
The centre was inaugurated by the chief minister on the occasion of the 7th Convocation at Shoolini University yesterday.
Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, Pro Chancellor Mr. Vishal Anand and President Online and Distance Learning Mr Ashish Khosla were among those present at the inauguration of the Centre.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla introduced Mr. Manish Anand CEO iHUB,DivyaSamparak, and  explained the different technologies involved in Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT) and Drone technology Experience Centre lab.
Mr. Manish Anand CEO iHUB,DivyaSamparak  said the role of AR/VR adds immersive experiences, interactive simulations, and virtual property exploration to real estate, gaming, education, and training and will help in transforming industries. IoT will be used to make things more efficient and connect people, which allows for smart homes, precision farming, industrial automation, and decision-making based on data. He also explained that drones technology can be employed  in agriculture for crop monitoring, aerial photography, surveillance, deliver packages, respond to disasters, environmental monitoring and in other fields .
The objective of this lab is to train students from Himachal Pradesh and neighboring states for the job market by providing them with advanced technological skills. Prof. Deepak Kumar, Coordinator of iHUB Shoolini, expressed gratitude for the invaluable support offered by iHUB DivyaSampark in establishing this pioneering center. He also highlighted the longstanding collaboration between the two institutions, which includes addressing industry-relevant challenges and assisting startups in the Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) domain for incubation and funding.
