Received ₹31,000 Under the Scheme, Celebrated Daughter’s Wedding Grandly

Hamirpur, February 23: The Himachal Pradesh government’s Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Shagun Yojana are proving to be a blessing for underprivileged families, ensuring that financial constraints do not become a burden during their daughters’ weddings. While Kanyadaan Yojana provides ₹51,000, the Shagun Yojana offers ₹31,000 in financial aid.

Sushil Kumar, a daily wage worker from Samu Tal village in Hamirpur’s Bhoranj subdivision, was struggling with wedding expenses for his daughter. With limited income, he could not afford a grand celebration or fulfill his daughter’s wedding wishes.

A relative informed him about the Shagun Yojana and encouraged him to apply. With assistance from the Women and Child Development Department, he completed the necessary formalities and received confirmation of his eligibility. This financial aid relieved his worries, allowing him to celebrate his daughter’s wedding in a grand manner.

Expressing gratitude to the state government, Sushil Kumar said, “The ₹31,000 received under Mukhyamantri Shagun Yojana was a great help. It enabled me to bid farewell to my daughter with joy and dignity.”
