CM remembers Kargil Martyrs

Remembering the Kargil Martyrs on Vijay Diwas here today, Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, “I salute the Kargil Martyrs on behalf of the people of Himachal Pradesh, who sacrificed their life for the sovereignty and integrity of the Nation braving the chill of barren lifeless mountains and cold deserts during the Kargil war in the year 1999”.
Sh. Sukhu remembered the valour of the soldiers of Indian armed forces, who fought for the security of the Nation and the sacrifices made by 52 brave hearts from Himachal Pradesh for their spine chilling courage.
Expressing profound gratitude for the sacrifices made by the Indian Armed Forces in safeguarding the motherland Sh. Sukhu said that the heroic actions of our brave soldiers exemplified the true spirit of patriotism and selflessness, inspiring the generations to come.
Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26 July every year.
