CM mourns demise of congress leader Shivraj Patil

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the demise of former Speaker of Lok Sabha and Union Minister Shivraj Patil (90) who passed away at Latur in Maharashtra today morning after a prolonged illness.
The Chief Minister said that Sh. Patil was a great parliamentarian and statesman. He said that Shivraj Patil had served the Nation in various capacities and dedicated his whole life for the welfare of the people. He said that he also made immense contributions for strengthening the Congress Party while performing in various positions in the Party.
The Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and to give strength to the bereaved family.
