CM launches J-Mudra Mobile Banking App of Jogindra Bank
2 min readShimla, May 21 – Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, while launching of ‘J-Mudra’ Mobile Banking Application of The Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. here today, said that Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank had made business of over Rs. 1700 crore during the financial year 2020-21. He said that Bank has working capital of Rs. 1478.61 crore and was providing banking services to more than 2,17,600 rural people.
Jai Ram Thakur said that this bank had deposit capital of Rs. 1195.72 crore, loan worth Rs. 525.35 crore and gross Non Performing Assets (NPA) of Rs. 46.37 crore up to 31st March, 2021 which was 8.82 percent of gross loan. He said that the Bank had earned gross profit of Rs.30.74 crore and net profit of Rs. 8.94 crore during the year 2020-21.
Chief Minister said that with a view to encourage ‘Digital India’ and provide outstanding banking services to customers of rural areas, the Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank has launched ‘J-Mudra’ Mobile Banking Application and it was providing ATM facility to the consumers since 2013. He said that bank was providing EMV based Rupay Debit Cards and EMV based Kisan Credit Cards to its consumers.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank has presently 30 branches and one extension counter in Solan district. He said that it has 495 share holder members which include 163 agriculture cooperative societies, 219 other cooperative societies, 112 individual members etc.
Chief Minister said that head office of the Bank was being constructed by HIMUDA at Solan with a cost of Rs. 3.95 crore which would be completed soon and would facilitate the people of the area.
Urban Development and Co-operation Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that the mobile banking service would ensure better banking services to the consumers besides providing user friendly services.
Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal said that the Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank has earned a special name in banking in Solan district by providing hassle-free services to the consumers.
Chairman Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank Yogesh Kumar while welcoming the Chief Minister said that Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank was committed to provide better services to the consumers. He thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating the ‘J-Mudra’ Mobile Banking Application to the people of the State.
First transaction of Rs. 51000 was made by the Chairman of the Bank through ‘J-Mudra’ as contribution towards the Chief Minister Covid Fund on the occasion.
