CM Kanyadan Scheme Supports 325 Families in Una with Financial Aid for Daughters’ Marriages

Una, Feb 15: The Himachal Pradesh government’s Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana continues to provide financial support to economically weaker families for the dignified marriage of their daughters. Over the past three years, 325 eligible families in Una district have received assistance worth more than ₹1.65 crore, officials said. Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries are granted ₹51,000 to help meet marriage expenses. Implemented under the supervision of the district administration, the initiative focuses on social security and empowerment by supporting orphaned girls, daughters of single or differently-abled parents, and families with limited income.
