Cloudburst in Taklech: Rampur SDM Leads Rapid Response Team

Shimla, August 16, 2024:
A cloudburst was reported in the Taklech area of Rampur late in the evening, prompting immediate action from the district administration. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap informed that as soon as the information was received, a team led by SDM Rampur, Nishant Tomar, was dispatched to the site.
As of now, no reports of casualties or significant damage have been confirmed. However, it has been reported that approximately 30 meters of road in the Taklech area have been damaged, and power supply in the region has been disrupted.
The dispatched team includes DSP Rampur, the Naib Tehsildar, field staff, and police personnel. Further actions will be determined based on the information received from the site.
