With a surge in footfall due to Christmas and the weekend, business in the capital is once again flourishing. Markets witnessed heavy crowds on Sunday. People continued shopping in Mall Road, Lakkar Bazaar, and Lower Bazaar until late evening. According to city traders, there is hope for a bumper business in Shimla until New Year. Tourism-related businesses are expected to benefit the most this week. Traders associated with tourism have made preparations for this, and markets have been adorned with Christmas decorations and special cakes.
The Vice President of Shimla Business Mandal, Ajay Sarna, and Joint Secretary Tarun Rana state that the anticipation of increased tourist numbers has led to an increase in purchases. If snowfall occurs in Shimla until the New Year, tourism business could witness a significant boost.
