The Language & Culture Department organised a storytelling and creative writing session today at the TutiKandi Child Labour Centre, aiming to inspire young minds and connect them with local culture. Around 42 children participated in the event, where noted author Dr. Dev Kanya Thakur narrated the popular Himachali folk tale Rana Jhina and shared valuable writing insights.

Through the storytelling session, Dr. Thakur highlighted the moral strength and cultural significance embedded in traditional folk narratives, encouraging children to learn life lessons through stories. She also guided them on writing skills, including expression, structure, language, and emotional depth.

Director of Language & Culture Department, Reema Kashyap, said such activities are organised every weekend to promote cultural awareness, creativity, and moral values among children.

Assistant Director Anil Harta, District Language Officer Sarojna Narwal, and Centre Warden K.R. Mehta were also present and appreciated the initiative for supporting the social and emotional development of young learners.
