Chief Minister congratulates people on Statehood Day

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has congratulated the people of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of 54th Statehood Day.

In his congratulatory message, the Chief Minister said that while celebrating the full statehood of the state, we pay tribute to our brave heroes, Dr. Y.S. Parmar and remember the great personalities who paved the way for the development of the state.

He said that the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had an unforgettable contribution in providing full statehood to Himachal and on 25th January, 1971, amidst snowfall, she had come to the historic Ridge Ground of Shimla for this announcement.

He added that the state government is determined to make the state self-reliant in the next four years and to make Himachal the most prosperous state of the country in 10 years.
