Chhattisgarh Government Allocates 11 Crore Rupees for Himachal Pradesh’s Natural Disaster Relief

To address the challenges posed by natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh, the Chhattisgarh government has contributed 11 crore rupees to the disaster relief fund. On Friday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel shared this information on social media. In his post, Chief Minister Baghel emphasized that in the wake of the crisis caused by heavy rains and landslides in Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh stands in solidarity by offering this assistance.
“We, the people of Chhattisgarh, are standing with the people of Himachal,” he wrote. “With collective unity, we will face the disaster and work towards restoring normalcy.” Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi praised the decision of the Chhattisgarh government through a social media post. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Sukhhu expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh, stating that this assistance will prove effective in providing aid to those affected by the disaster.
Governor Initiates Relief Efforts by Sending Supplies Additionally, on Friday, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla sent off three vehicles laden with relief supplies to various districts through the District Red Cross branches, signaling the start of relief efforts. These supplies, including hygiene kits, tarpaulins, blankets, and tents, have been dispatched to the Kullu, Hamirpur, and Kangra branches. Governor Shukla raised the green flag to mark the departure of these vehicles. He expressed that the entire state stands with the affected families during this time of disaster. Rajesh Sharma, the Secretary to the Governor, was present during the occasion.
