Shimla, January 2025 – BJP spokesperson Chetan Bragta criticized the Sukhu-led Himachal Pradesh government for its alleged failures in the health sector, holding it accountable for deteriorating public healthcare services. Referring to the recent tragic death of a father due to the unavailability of essential medicines, Bragta accused the government of negligence and insensitivity.
He condemned the administration for its reluctance to accept responsibility, stating, “A family lost its breadwinner due to the unavailability of an injection, and instead of owning up to the lapse, the government is busy crafting stories and blaming the opposition.”
Bragta further remarked that the Sukhu government is “caught in a swamp of its own failures” and warned that continued denial and cover-ups would only worsen its credibility. He urged the government to apologize to the affected family and take immediate steps to improve the healthcare system, terming it as the only way to atone for their mismanagement.
