Centre Approves ₹34 Crore for 1,361 Houses in Himachal: Anurag Thakur

Shimla, October 13, 2025 — Former Union Minister and MP from Hamirpur, Anurag Singh Thakur, expressed gratitude to the Central Government for approving the construction of 1,361 houses in Himachal Pradesh’s urban areas under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, with a total allocation of ₹34.02 crore.

Thakur said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has always prioritized the needs and interests of Himachal Pradesh. This approval will greatly benefit economically weaker sections, with ₹2.25 lakh being provided per beneficiary under the beneficiary-led construction component.”

He also highlighted that the Centre recently approved 92,364 houses for Himachal under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin, enabling thousands of families to realize their dream of owning a pucca house and protecting them from harsh weather conditions.

Thakur thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, for their continued support and commitment to the welfare of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
