Career talk session organised at Shoolini University

Faculty of Biotechnology and Applied Sciences, Shoolini University. organised a two-day career talk session on the topic, Career Avenues in the Field of Life Sciences and Abroad.
The guest speaker of the day was Mr. Vimal Bhutani, Director, Biotech Sapiens, Chandigarh. He presented students with opportunities in the form of various competitive exams such as ICMR and GATE.
He went on to explain the specifics of each exam category. He also mentioned the top research centres that provide excellent research facilities to students in terms of well-equipped labs and hi-tech research. Furthermore, he focused his talk on 2021 emerging technologies and research areas, highlighting upcoming fields such as green ammonia and energy for wireless signals.
The session began with an address by Chancellor, Prof. PK Khosla, who emphasised the quest for the right direction and a bright future. He shared information about various competitive exams such as NET and GATE, and highlighted the importance of pursuing a successful career in the right direction.
Prof. Anuradha Sourirajan, Dean of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology, welcomed the speakers, participants and emphasised on importance of competitive exams and various career options which are beneficial for the students.
The session was attended by more than 62 participants including students and faculty members of Biotechnology. The audience asked the presenters numerous questions and received detailed explanations. The session was coordinated by Dr. Nitika Thakur.
