Career Guidance and Counseling Program at APG Shimla University Assists First-Year Students

Shimla, October 13 – To provide bright futures and guidance for students entering various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at APG Shimla University, a career guidance and counseling program was conducted at the university’s assembly hall under the leadership of Dr. Monica Bhatu, Job Placement Officer and Head of the MBA Department.

The renowned marketing guru, career counselor, and Job Placement Director, Rajiv Agrawal, was also present to provide career guidance and counseling to students. Agrawal shared valuable tips on preparing for examinations, interviews, and creating impressive resumes. He emphasized the significance of communication skills, personal development, and industry awareness for successful job placements.

Agrawal shared that understanding several factors before making career choices is essential, including the reason, salary, respect, job security, pleasure time, health issues, self-confidence, and circumstances. He motivated students to keep trying to succeed and appreciated the benefits of having a career counselor in their time. He also discussed that career decisions are now aided by many factors, unlike the past, and awareness of these elements is crucial for a successful career.
