Body Discovered in Hotel Bathroom, Accomplices Go Missing

Shimla, November 5: Police have recovered a man’s body from the bathroom of a private hotel in the Rampur sub-division. The identity of the deceased has yet to be established. Reports indicate that the deceased was staying in the hotel with a male and female companion, both of whom have since fled the scene. Authorities are currently searching for them.

According to police information, three individuals checked into the guesthouse on October 31, including the deceased and another male and female. On Monday evening, the body was discovered in the bathroom of a hotel room. The guesthouse management promptly alerted the police.

A police team visited the scene, took possession of the body, and summoned a forensic team from Junga, Shimla, to gather evidence. The body has been sent to the Rampur hospital morgue for identification. Police are also questioning the hotel manager as part of their investigation.

DSP Naresh Sharma stated that the actual cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is received. He confirmed that the male and female companions of the deceased are missing and that a team has been formed to locate them.
