BoD of Welfare Board approves to establish sub-office at Balichowki

The 49th Board of Directors meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Welfare Board was convened here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chairman of the Board, Nardev Singh Kanwar.

The board decided to speed up the process of e-KYC of registered workers on Panchayat level through Labour Welfare Officers. The matter regarding agreement of outsource services was also discussed and it was decided to hold a meeting with the HPSEDC and outsourcing agency.

The BoD accorded approval for additional budget of Rs. 2 crore for procurement of official articles as well for publicity of the various welfare schemes. It approved installation of 12 outdoor LED’s at district level and installation of temporary flex hoarding at fair price shops for wide publicity of welfare schemes being run by the Board.

It was also approved to establish sub-office at Balichowki in the district Mandi along-with requisite staff.

Nardev Singh Kanwar expressed gratitude to all attendees for their valuable contributions and reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to the welfare and upliftment of construction workers in the State.

Secretary-cum-CEO of the Welfare Board Rahiv Kumar also gave his valuable suggestions for betterment of the Board.
