Blood Donation camp organised in Shoolini campus

Solan, December 1 – Shoolini University in collaboration with YouWeCan and Maa Shoolini Seva Trust, Solan, organised a blood donation camp in the university premises on the ocassion of the World Aids Day.
While over 170 faculty members and students registered for donating blood, some of them were declared ineligible due to one reason or the other. By the end of the day, 110 units of blood was collected by a team of doctors and para medical staff.
Head of the School of Hotel Management and Hospitality, Mr Pratip Mazumdar, who has donated blood 16 times, was among the first to donate blood today. Many his students were also among the blood donors.
Suraj Shanu , member of organising committee of the Trust said that Maa Shoolini Sewa Trust has been actively working in the field of social upliftment. He said the Trust was delighted to have a collaboration with Shoolini University for this noble cause. A total of 11 members participated from trust.
First Dean of Shoolini University, Mr SC Tiwari was also present at the occasion.
Dean Student welfare, Poonam Nanda, who organised the camp, said the YouWeCan volunteers actively helped in organising the camp.

Trust members including Suresh Tiwari, Shobhit Anand, Suraj Shanu, Rohit Maini,Vasu Ahuja, Priyanka Chauhan, Naman Goyal and Jyotsna Sharma were among those present at the event.
