Blood donation camp organised at Shoolini Univ

Solan, April 21

Shoolini University in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla (IGMC), organised a blood donation camp on the university premises on Wednesday.

During the camp, 12O units of blood were collected from the donors and a medical team of five doctors along with support staff visited the campus to conduct the camp.

Dean Student Welfare, Mrs. Poonam Nanda organised the camp with the help of Shoolinians for You (SFY) and YouWeCan ( YWC) volunteers. She said that “we at Shoolini university keep organising such camps with an interval of 2-3 months, however, we missed out on it during pandemic but now we are back on track. She also underlined how important and safe the procedure was. Mrs. Nanda encouraged both faculty members and students to come forward for blood donation.

Mr. Pratip Mazumdar, Director, School of Hospitality and Hotel Management, donated blood for the 25th time.

All the donors were given certificates of appreciation along with refreshments.
