Block Public Health Unit Proposed at Dunali to Strengthen Healthcare Services in Chamba

Chamba, February 20: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal inspected a Forest Department building at Dunali under Health Block Churah for the proposed establishment of a Block Public Health Unit aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery in the region. The facility is expected to improve access to medical services and diagnostic facilities while also supporting healthcare arrangements during the annual Manimahesh Yatra.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner directed concerned departments to expedite all required formalities so that the unit can be made operational at the earliest. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jalam Singh Bhardwaj informed that the proposed unit will provide integrated medical services and essential health investigations under one roof, with deployment of medical officers, support staff, and modern diagnostic equipment. Officials added that similar public health units are being planned across all health blocks in the district to strengthen the overall healthcare infrastructure.
