BJP’s Vipin Parmar Accuses Congress Government of Betraying Employees, Pensioners, and Youth
2 min readDharamshala, August 25, 2024 – Senior BJP leader and former Speaker of the Assembly, Vipin Singh Parmar, has strongly criticized the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh for neglecting the demands of employees and pensioners, leading to widespread protests. Parmar accused the government of exploiting employees and deceiving unemployed youth by making false promises of guaranteed employment.
Parmar highlighted that while the youth have been forced to take to the streets due to the government’s failure to provide jobs, now even employees and pensioners are compelled to protest. He questioned Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s intentions, asking if the government is deliberately pushing the state towards ruin.
Parmar accused the Congress government of betraying the people, stating that such widespread unrest among employees and pensioners was never witnessed during the BJP’s tenure. He condemned the Congress for failing on all fronts, resulting in employees having to protest within just a year and a half of their rule. Parmar also pointed out the Congress’s broken promises, noting that they had pledged to end outsourcing and provide one lakh permanent jobs annually, but are now filling positions through outsourcing.
He criticized the government’s approach towards teachers, stating that instead of appreciating their services in the state’s challenging geographical conditions, the government is making derogatory remarks about their salaries. Parmar accused the Congress of making promises before elections and then reneging on them once in power.
Parmar warned that the BJP will now take to the streets on every front to hold the Congress government accountable for its failures and protect the rights of employees, pensioners, and the youth.
