She stated, “Under the government of friends, incidents of harassment, crimes, and murder against women are surfacing across the entire state, and this government remains silent.” Yogi highlighted that the government, which came with promises of administrative change, has itself transformed negatively. “Now, even listening to the concerns of wives, mothers, and friends’ government is out of question,” she added.
Yogi pointed out recent incidents, including allegations against a youth under the supervision of Una’s Women Police Station for sexual misconduct and coercion against three of his relatives. Similarly, a shameful incident of harassment involving minors at a government school in Mandi district has been reported. Serious allegations of harassment against the headmaster of a government school in Jogindernagar area of Mandi district involving schoolgirls have also surfaced. She lamented that the government is turning a deaf ear to public demands for safety and security, with no representative offering any response.
This statement comes amidst growing concerns about the safety of women under the current administration, with Yogi highlighting multiple incidents across the state as evidence of a deteriorating security situation for women.
