BJP Vice President Pawan Kajal Blames CM for By-Election Situation, Predicts BJP Victory

2 min read

Dharamshala: Pawan Kajal, Himachal Pradesh BJP Vice President and MLA, has attributed the current by-elections to the autocratic behavior of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Kajal stated that the CM’s actions have led to the resignation of multiple MLAs, including Hoshiyar Singh, due to the oppressive environment created by the government. He emphasized that the CM’s attempts to force his will on both independent and party MLAs are undemocratic and unsustainable.

Kajal highlighted that opposition to the CM’s autocratic ways has been growing within the Congress party itself. Leaders, presidents, MLAs, and ministers have all voiced their discontent. He cited recent incidents where a Congress leader alleged being held hostage for eight hours by the CM to coerce compliance. Additionally, a cabinet minister’s public breakdown and resignation underscored the internal turmoil within the government.

The BJP Vice President asserted that the government has failed to deliver on its promises and has deceived every section of society. The public’s disillusionment was evident in the last elections, where BJP won 61 out of 68 seats, and the CM lost in his own constituency. Kajal confidently predicted that BJP would win all seats in the upcoming by-elections, which would pave the way for a BJP-led government focused on development and progress.

Campaigning for BJP candidate Hoshiyar Singh in Dehra, Kajal urged voters to support Singh to ensure a swift end to the current government’s tyranny. He criticized the Congress government for halting development projects and betraying the youth, women, farmers, and orchardists of the state.

Kajal also condemned the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, attributing it to the CM’s preoccupation with retaining power. He cited incidents of daylight shootings near court premises, brutal murders, and increasing crimes against children, which have tarnished the image of the ‘Devbhoomi.’ Kajal demanded that the government take effective steps to restore law and order, stressing that such anarchy would not be tolerated by the people of Himachal Pradesh.
