Sandipani Bhardwaj launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu over the Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) controversy, alleging that the Congress government is misleading the public by blaming the Centre for Himachal Pradesh’s financial crisis. Speaking in Shimla, Bhardwaj claimed that the real reason behind the state’s poor economic condition is large-scale corruption and misuse of central funds by the Congress administration.
He alleged that funds meant for development projects in sectors like railways, health, education and infrastructure were diverted to the state treasury using false utilization certificates, and spent on salaries, luxuries and political expenses instead of public welfare. Bhardwaj further accused the government of inflating project costs and indulging in massive financial irregularities.
The BJP spokesperson demanded that the Sukhu government release a white paper detailing the utilization of central funds, warning that the party would continue its fight against corruption from the streets to the assembly.
